📅First day is on Monday, February 3rd📅 🕑CLASSES ARE WEEKLY FROM 6PM - 9PM ON MONDAYS AND WEDNESDAYS🕑 🧑‍🏫This course will be hosted in-person only🧑‍🏫 Foundations for Success - Essentials for newcomers: Our basic English course for beginners provides the essential linguistic foundation and cultural insights to empower individuals in their journey toward success and integration into Canadian society, offering a welcoming pathway to opportunity and achievement. Delving into Canadian culture, our curriculum offers in-depth insights into societal norms, cultural traditions, and workplace etiquette, equipping you with the cultural competence necessary for seamless integration into your new community and the job market. By the end of the program, you'll emerge with the ability to engage effectively in diverse social settings, understand and interpret Canadian laws and regulations, and navigate bureaucratic processes with ease. Armed with these invaluable skills and cultural insights, you'll be prepared to pursue further educational opportunities, embark on successful career paths, and contribute meaningfully to the Canadian economy and society. Our Basic English Course for Newcomers doesn't just teach language; it fosters empowerment, confidence, and a sense of belonging, laying the foundation for a prosperous and fulfilling life in your new home. Upon successful completion of this course Students will be able to: Use common greetings and good-bye phrases. Engage in small talk and demonstrate appropriate body language. Introduce themselves confidently and share basic personal information. Navigate essential situations such as grocery shopping, visiting a doctor, social situations and more. Address property issues and resolve conflicts with a landlord. Understand and use job interview vocabulary. Be prepared to job search, communicate with a potential employer and interview. Understand Canadian work ethics and differentiate between soft and hard skills. Communicate effectively with teachers and school staff. Understand cultural differences in social and professional contexts.
